The prototype is designed to monitor the condition of point machines by detecting vibrations from the moving motor. This method allows for the differentiation between good and faulty point machine conditions, as it utilizes a pre-existing dataset of vibration conditions from point machines in good working order. By comparing real-time vibration data against this dataset, the prototype can effectively identify anomalies and potential issues, ensuring the reliable operation of the point machines and enhancing overall safety in railway systems.
